Around a month or so ago we stayed with our daughter in hull for two weeks,we came back to the site and to our suprise the whole site had been sold, and taken over, for the last 40 years sand-le- mere has been a family-run buisness and i believe the ex owner had this year poured around three and a half million into extending it after a long battle with costal erosion, the new owners are "bridge leisure parks" i was realy suprised that no one knew anything whatsoever "i diddnt think anyone on this site could have a secret without it getting out,but i suppose thats the buisness world in which i no nothing anyway.

I confess I've never heard of Sand-le-Mere. Where exactly is it?

It's quiet famous, it has it's own website http://www.sand-le-mere.co.uk/ and the fishing lake looks lovely.

It`s an overpriced caravan park in the middle of nowhere. Well Tunstall, which is ...the middle of nowhere...

Yes when we first moved on there and my wife being a non driver, and myself who cannot drive (on medical grounds) were quite suprised that there are no busses either,so for people like us its quite isolated, but very popular as people pack the place out in summer, easter, ect, and they come from all over england and hull even. lol!

I well remember Sands-le-Mere from the days when I was a club entertainer trotting around all over the place with my guitar. I seem to recall that there was a very nice social club there with the sort of audiences that came to be entertained rather than to get Brahms and Liszt.
