| I often read in the Hull Mail about events that have taken place the previous weekend, but did not know they were on.Like the family days in West Park and East Park,or Giant Bradley Day in Market Weighton and village gardens open days.If anyone knows of any event or show that is taking place, please let us know.I used to go to many village shows and found them a good family day out,but many may not know when they are on. Skidby has a scarecrow festival onJuly 9,10 and 11.Good to take the kids to see 60 scarecrows. If you see any events or shows in Hull or in any East Riding villages, please post them on here | |

| The "boy that would not grow up "was my grandad.I am going to the official launch on the 19th with family and friends.Seems he was known all over the world. There is a good website of that name which is worth a look. | |

| I discovered on Friday that this weekend there is 'Hull Big Weekend' in East Park, with a Harry Potter themed show and an international funfair. Once again the council demonstrates its inability to adequately publicise events. When will they learn? | |

| Just got back from the East Coast Run and what a lovely morning. Loads of spectators and some fantastic nostalgic vehicles. My father plucked up the energy to come with us and we took a tarp for us all to sit on. | |

| We went as well. There must have been over 500 vehicles there.Saw in the programme that the organisers say there it is getting more difficult to put th show on because of Health and Safety and the fact that a Traffic Management Plan is needed. Why? All the vehicles are allowed on public roads anyway! Saw the big funfair but never knew it was on.No publicity again for two big events in a Council park | |

| Cheers Medsec, we always enjoy the Hull Motor Show, I follow them on Facebook for updates.
This morning I took a slow walk to East Park and enjoyed the Veterans Weekend. There are more stalls than usual, and loads of activities for parents and children alike. | |
