| Surely it is not beyond our ken to find a better route and reclaim the best part of our beautiful City Port's utilities, it's lovely Humber waterfronts? Personally, I loathe that rotten, heavy laden, race track that has carved my city up. Why not use our outer ring-road system? Please advise. | |

| Well I've always wondered that. It seems so stupid to me to cut a city in two with roads full of thundering juggernauts - as Leeds has done, for instance. It's quite terrifying standing waiting to cross with all that traffic rushing past. | |

| It realy seems odd, when thinking back to childhood and castle street and surrounding areas were all my playground, and to-day it would be a child death trap. | |

| I lost my cousin on Castle-street. It's a shocking piece of planning and I really can't see how they can rectify it without throwing huge chunks of money at "Advisors." I thought it was great when they closed it for the Clipper events. It enabled a lot of keen photographers access to views of Hull that people rarely get to see because of these huge juggernauts rushing past. | |

| The closure of Castle Street also caused gridlock Hull.I got a bus from the station and it took half an hour to reach Monument Bridge, then another half hour to get to Ferensway! Last friday when the road was again closed, all roads from the west into Hull were gridlocked again.Just think about being closed for three years if ever the cut and cover goes ahead? There is no easy answer. | |
